DTI-Laguna Conducts Product Standards Monitoring and

Victoria, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna), conducted product standard (PS) monitoring and surveillance in Nagcarlan, Laguna, on February 20, 2024 pursuant to the Republic Act No. 7394, otherwise known as the “Consumer Act of the Philippines”.

The PS monitoring and surveillance is one of the DTI-Laguna’s regular activities to ensure consistent compliance of products and services with technical regulations and requirements of the specific standards and to protect the public against unreasonable risks of injury associated with consumer products. Toward this end, the State shall implement measures to achieve the objective of the consumer protection against hazards to health and safety.
