DTI-Laguna Guides Start-Up Businesses and Provides Consumer Education

CITY OF CALAMBA — A seminar entitled “Guiding Start-Up Business cum Consumer Education” conducted on August 7, 2024, for the informal settlers in different cities and municipalities in Laguna highlights the strong partnership of the Department of Trade and Industry Laguna and the Department of Labor and Employment Laguna.

A total of 43 participants with diverse business wants from retail, services, and manufacturers participated in the said event. This seminar is part of the livelihood program of DOLE Laguna which aims to promote the well-being and reduce poverty and hunger of the beneficiaries. Moreover, the seminar also catered inquiries and provided consultations and referrals to the shared service facilities of DTI for aspiring manufacturers.

Additionally, Negosyo Center Business Counsellors Mr. Kent Arvin Cainto and Mr. Kim Carlo Palacio shared a necessary knowledge for the beneficiaries to start a business ranging from topics such as business ideas, business planning, basic bookkeeping, and consumer education (KADCainto, DTI-Laguna).
