The said activity is part of the application process to determine which level of DTI Bagwis Awards will be given to retail establishments.

In addition, they were briefly informed on the Consumer Act of the Philippines and other fair trade laws. They were also initially oriented on the DTI Bagwis Program.

The DTI Bagwis Program which is formerly known as the DTI Certified Business Establishment Program was launched in July 2006.
