Santa Rosa City — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) conducted a seminar on cash management strategies in collaboration with the City Government of Santa Rosa, through the Negosyo Center, under the supervision of the Office of the City Cooperatives Development Officer, in partnership with Cebuana Lhuillier.  The seminar was attended by a total of 31 participants, which was held on March 7, 2025, at Building B, 2nd Floor, PESO Office, City Government Center, City of Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The seminar was designed to equip participants with the ability to enhance cash flow forecasting, maximize working capital, and manage liquidity.  It aimed to transfer best practices for managing financial risks related to cash and to illustrate how good cash management leads to higher profitability.  The seminar also aimed to educate participants on existing regulations affecting cash handling, investment, compliance, and financial efficiency maximization.

The 1-day seminar workshop was a reality check on finance management, personal finance and entrepreneurship. Attendees also shared best practices for taking action to reduce the financial exposure that comes with cash handling, learning how good cash management translates directly to improved profitability, and insight into the regulatory requirements in their community that dictate how cash can be managed, invested, and what their cash handling has to comply with for the sake of financial efficiency.

The resource speaker was Dr. Daniel Hebron, a Kanegosyo Center Accredited Coach, and an Associate Professor from the University of Makati, who shared his wealth of knowledge and practical experience.
