TANAY, RIZAL — DTI Rizal thru Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) successfully conducted Information Caravan on Republic Act 11524 also known as Coconut farmers and Industry Trust Fund at the Activity Area of the Municipality of Tanay, Rizal. Major component of the activity is the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) facilitated by University of the Philippines Institute for Small Scale Industries (UP-ISSI) led by Ms. Joanna Rose Laddaran, Head of the Program Development Cluster.

It was attended by different stakeholders of the coconut industry from the Province of Rizal. National government agencies like DOST, DPWH, DA, and PCA attended the activity. In addition, University of Rizal System represented the academe, Municipal Agriculture Offices of Tanay and Pililla, Barangay Local Government personnel, and Farmer Leaders from different barangays took part of this relevant activity.

Three (3) breakout groups during FGD shared and discussed issues and concerns showed insightful situation of the province’ coconut industry. Ms. Sharon F. Dioco, Division Chief of Business Development and currently OIC-PD, led the DTI Rizal Team.
