DOLORES, QUEZON — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through the Negosyo Center Dolores, participated in the El Niño Emergency Contingency Planning Meeting held at Bangkong Kahoy Valley, Dolores, Quezon, on May 9, 2023. The meeting was initiated by the Local Tourism Office with the participation of the stakeholders of the Business and Tourism Association of Southern Tagalog Region 4A (BATA STAR 4A), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Dolores Water District.

The El Niño Emergency Contingency Meeting resulted in the development of a comprehensive action plan incorporating input from all participating stakeholders. The plan outlines strategies for risk mitigation, information dissemination, and coordination among various agencies and stakeholders.

The Negosyo Center Dolores’ active participation in the El Niño Emergency Contingency Meeting demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding the economy, businesses, and consumers of Dolores, Quezon, from the potential impacts of El Niño. Through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the development of a comprehensive action plan, it remains committed to monitoring the situation closely and implementing proactive measures to mitigate the effects of El Niño on trade and commerce.
