ANTIPOLO CITY—To boost the digital marketing skills of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), DTI Rizal, through Negosyo Center Binangonan, hosted the fourth module of the Collaborative Harnessing and Mentoring Program for SMEs. The webinar focused on leveraging popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Around 80 participants, primarily Rizal MSME beneficiaries of the CHAMPS program, gained valuable insights from the webinar.
In her welcoming message, Ms. Sharon Dioco, Business Development Division Chief of DTI Rizal, emphasized the importance of adapting to online marketing trends. She urged SMEs to enhance their digital presence by exploring these platforms and developing effective content strategies.
The webinar featured Mr. Joamar-John Canosa, a fashion stylist, filmmaker, content creator, and DICT scholar, as the resource speaker. Mr. Canosa provided an in-depth look at social media marketing, covering essential strategies such as understanding products, identifying target audiences, and crafting engaging content.
Mr. Canosa also gave key tips on creating effective content, including tailoring content to the psychological and demographic characteristics of the target audience, ensuring proper video formatting, high quality, and optimal quantity of content, and scheduling media posts to maximize engagement.
Additionally, Mr. Canosa discussed marketing funnels and strategies for connecting with Generation Z, who dominate content consumption today.
The session included interactive activities to help participants reflect on their businesses and marketing approaches, making the webinar educational and engaging. ♦
