DTI-6 has filed formal charges for violation of DAO 2: S. 2007 (Product Standards Law) DAO 4: S.2008 and DAO 5:2008 and pursuant to R.A. 4109 in relation to Art. 77 of R.A. 7394 against two (2) branches of a business entity in Iloilo City for selling and/or offering for sale non-conforming products under mandatory product certification during the monitoring and enforcement conducted by DTI 9 Monitoring and Enforcement Teams last 28-29 March 2019.

The non-conforming products which included household electrical appliances (unbranded air-conditioning units, rice cooker, washing machine), sanitary wares (lavatories, toilet bowls) and electrical wirings (snap switches) have an estimated value of P466,000.00.

Summons have been issued against erring business establishments.♦
