Aimed at strengthening and providing direction for the advancement of its Shared Service Facilities (SSF) in Western Visayas, the DTI VI piloted the coaching and mentoring of cooperators as one of the major activities in the Panublion 2018.
A total of 31 cooperators and their representatives underwent the Coaching and Mentoring for SSF Cooperators at the Avenue in Smallville Complex, Mandurriao, Iloilo City on 15 November.
An innovation of DTI VI Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon, the activity was aimed to diagnose the gaps in the usage of the facility and how to further improve and maximize the utilization of the SSFs. This will also identify the concerns of cooperators in the areas of marketing, production, finance and even networking with other agencies.
The coaches and mentors were known entrepreneurs, educators and experts in the field of production, marketing and financial literacy. They were Mary Anne Colmenares, owner of Artisana Island Crafts and Handmade Gallery; Emerson Lim, entrepreneur and food technologist consultant; Christina Gaston, owner of Hacienda Crafts; Rex Florencio Dagdag, president/manager of Creatif Products and Services; Mario Tajanlangit, CEO/president of E-Cube International Development Corp.; Melodie Buendia, certified public accountant; and, Julie Jean Tidon, account officer of Small Business Corporation-Iloilo Desk Office.
Intellectual Property Satellite Office (IPSO) – Iloilo Field Operations Specialist Marianne Tajanlangit-Bebit also attended the activity to accommodate and address concerns on trademarks and patents applications.♦
