CEBU – Building on the success of last year’s initiative, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cebu is proud to present the MSME Digitalization Caravan 2.0. This year’s caravan continues DTI’s mission to drive digital transformation across Cebu’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), providing entrepreneurs with the tools and expertise they need to stay competitive in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.
The MSME Digitalization initiative is a collaborative effort involving Local Government Units (LGUs) and key industry leaders, including GCash, Globe, Maya, and PLDT, highlighting the critical role of public-private partnerships in driving MSME growth and resilience. After receiving a strong response from MSMEs in 2023, the caravan is set to return in 2024, covering five major locations across Cebu. This year, GCash and Maya are the leading industry partners, with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) joining for the first time, further emphasizing the importance of digital financial literacy for MSMEs.
