The national government’s fiscal balance recorded a deficit of PhP76.37 billion in February 2019 bringing January-February 2019 to a deficit of PhP31.8 billion – a 23.3% decrease from the same period in 2018.

Revenue in January-February 2019 grew to PhP458.83 billion from the PhP417.43 billion recorded in the same period last year, resulting to 9.9% growth in revenue collections. However, national government spending reached PhP490.66 billion, up by 6.9% from the PhP458.91 billion recorded last years.
