Philippine company RPO Fine Foods Corporation, a Philippine company, closed a deal with Walmart for its Wow Mani product line in June 2020. Walmart is now offering RPO Fine Foods Corporation’s Wow Mani product line in their San Francisco, Mountain View, San Jose, San Leonardo, and Union City stores.
DTI-EMB empowers MSMEs in tapping the US Market
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed drastically the way consumers and enterprises do business. Due to lockdowns and the closing down of borders, micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) exporters were greatly hit generally in terms of loss of sales. As a response to this, the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) is implementing programs that will help the MSME exporters get back on track and adapt to the new normal of doing business.
DTI-EMB holds webinar on import processes for exporters
In a move to keep its clients abreast of the changes in the import processes for exporters, the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) held a webinar “Import Process for Exporters” on 27 October 2020 via Cisco Webex. The webinar featured speakers from the DTI-Bureau of Import Services (DTI-BIS) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and was attended by almost 200 participants.

DTI calls on exporters anew to register with EU-REX before Dec. 31 deadline
The Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) is once again calling on exporters to register to the European Union-Registered Exporter System (EU-REX) before the deadline on 31 December 2020. The original deadline, 31 June 2020, was moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indonesia to impose Trade Safeguard Measures against importation of fructose syrup
Following the results of Indonesia’s investigation on the safeguard measure against the importation of fructose syrup, with ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 1702.60.20, Indonesia is set to apply trade safeguard measures against the importation of said product.
